What's your fondest Q Awards memory?
Never been before, so it'll have to be this.
Who's the best person you've met today? 
Bono and the guys from U2. I've known 'em for fucking years. Or Mick Jones. He's an old mate from back in the day. 
Where are you going next?
The Groucho. Victoria [Clarke, long-term partner] wants to get something to eat. 
How does it feel to be a winner?
 Like every other award I've won They're all the same. 
You're in good company - Lou Reed, Keith Richards and The Who have all won the Merit Award.
 [Shrugs] Yeah. 
Who is your best act in the world?
U2. Or OutKast. I love OutKast. Or the Stones. There's loads. 
What's been your highligh of2OO4? 
Being on holiday for most of the year. But The Pogues are touring soon, so it's back to work.
